I can't remember my first experience of watching Star Trek. I'm sure it was TNG. I vividly remember scenes in the conference room, the darkness, the gleaming table, Geordi's VISOR, the stars streaming past the windows so beautifully and steadily, (and the fact that none of the characters even paid any attention to them, like those amazing stars

Hi! Just checking out your LJ and found one of my favorite things to talk about! I was nine and was watching The Wild Wild West (TV show) and Star Trek came on after. I remember I was eating M&M's. I was totally enthralled and could barely understand what was going on. My Mother asked me if the pointy eared guy was the devil. Then she wandered off. It was TOS "The Naked Time" the one where a virus makes everyone lose their inhibitions. What an episode to start with! I remember by the time Mr. Spock (under the influence of the virus) sobbed and said "My Mother...I could never tell her I loved her." I was hooked. And in love deep with a green-blooded pointy-eared alien. My very first crush. I became a fangirl that night and never looked back. Mr. Spock is and will always be my first love. LLAP

Thanks for the comment! Oh yes, that was such an amazing and affecting episode and set up so much about Spock's character. Watching Star Trek TOS I never fail to be impressed with the character writing.
