When last we left each other, I was moving out of Manhattan. We are now firmly implanted in Crown Heights. Pictures are hung, carpets are laid, everything has a place. Moo is loving school and making friends. I'm digging the neighborhood and have yet to encounter the real-life horrors that magazines and the internet have me on shpielkes over.

Pretty sure you can carry your child without an eiruv. Say the kid decides three blocks into the walk that he ain't moving. Are you stuck with leaving him there or waiting him out? No, you can pick him up and carry him off against his will. Whether you as a parent want to do that is a diff story.
