Summary: An enemy finds it's way into Kagome's room.
He was stealthy for his size.
Quietly he stalked his target. The male was sitting on the floor with his back to the bed. He had ample cover and neither his prey or the female sitting at the desk with her back to him were even aware of his presence.
The only light filtering the room came from the lamp on the desk allowing plenty of shadows for him in which to hide. He saw his future victim twitch it's ears and he froze. He knew this wouldn't be an ordinary kill. From previous attempts he knew this one was quick and knew when danger was near.
Minutes ticked by and he did not move. He would be patient. He saw the target relax and waited a few minutes more before he crept closer.
The female was oblivious scratching away at something she called homework. He was fairly certain he was still undetected.
Only a few more steps before he was within striking range.
The male's ears twitched again and he knew it was now or never. He was uncertain he could make the leap successfully, but if he waited he was well aware the hunter would become the hunted.
He jumped. Weapons at the ready.
“Ow! What the fuck!”
Inuyasha twisted and grabbed his attacker who had sliced his right ear before the hanyou could move.
Startled at the commotion Kagome jerked and turned to glare at Inuyasha.
“What's going on?! Why are you so loud? You know I'm trying to study!”
She saw Inuyasha wrangling with his attacker on the floor. Claws flew threw the air amidst hissing and swearing. She jumped up screaming.
“Inuyasha, put Buyo down!”
