This will likely not be a surprise given the lack of entries we've had the last 8 months, but InuComedy Club is now officially closed.Even at the best of times, this was a very small group. It was very sad to see it dwindle, and I apologize for dragging it out as long as I did. I want people to be able to look back at their time here and think ( Read more... )

Eh, it is what it is. I had been thinking of doing this for a very long time, but couldn't gather myself to do it as there were still a few faithfuls. The closing of iyhedonsim gave me the push I needed to go ahead and do it.

It's not a silly hope; I had a lot of fun here. It was great while it lasted, but the writing has been on the wall for awhile now. I will always fondly remember inucomedyclub as the comm that really introduced me to my comedic muse.

Well thank you. I love comedy writing, but I guess it's not for everyone. I'm glad you were able to flex those muscles here, though, at least for a little while.

Wow... I'm sorry to see thsi close, enemy-chan. While I didn't write that much for it, as I find writing comedy HARD (It just sort of happens without trying every once in a while), I did love reading the entries.

It's no one's fault, really. But 2 writers a comm does not make. It just didn't make sense to keep it going when no one was participating (even when we did manage to get enough for a vote, we'd only get 3-4 votes. Not enough at all).

You know my feelings already: I love this comm and its concept. I'm sorry participation so dwindled, but never feel foolish for all the good energy you put in to make things run here. Positive energy in the universe, as I see it, is always good.

And I hope closing InuComedyClub gives you freedom to move on to other delights.

Yeah, I thought it was a really nice idea and wished that it would do better than it did. Oh well.

I have joined and entered at iyissekiwa, so that is good.

I've seen several others comms close too, and I hate to think Iyhed's decision inspired others to just shut down. We've had too many comms for the population for a year or more, I'd say, yet it's sad to see folks close down. Still, I hope it boosts up other comms that are running well and makes for more of the success of multi-fandom comms like fanfic_bakeoff. Still, comedy comm. I did love it.
