Sesshomaru watched from behind the corner as his and Inuyasha’s adopted wards tucked in Rin’s favorite dolls for the night. He wondered where his mate was he never missed ‘tuck in time’ as Rin referred to it.
“I think they need spots.” Shippo said thoughtfully. Rin nodded in agreement, as she eyed the babies.
“I just wish they had better baby fangs.” Rin mumbled.
“Roger, I am scared I have seen that creepy woman around again.” Rin appeared to be conversing with Shippo, but Sesshomaru wondered why she would call him Roger.
“Anita you worry too much,” he replied as if he was familiar with this game.
Sesshomaru was getting confused and did not want to appear foolish by intruding to demand answers, so he decided to wait to see what his mate new of this. He trusted that if there was a serious problem Inuyasha would know of it and take care of it. His mate did not like strangers around the castle anymore than he did.
“Mr. Dearly we are very lucky to have so many babies.” Rin giggled.
“Mrs. Dearly I think our babies look like there grandfather’s they seem to have more puppy in them then they do Kitsune or baby.” Shippo was patting the back of another doll in a very small bed.
Mister and missus Dearly why did those names sound familiar Sesshomaru wondered.
Were they new the kitchen help, or maybe in the laundry, he made a mental note to ask his mate as soon as found his wayward brother.
“Mr. Dearly how many do we have now?” Rin asked.
“Three, at this rate we will never been finished Mrs. Dearly”, Shippo whined.
Sesshomaru was even more confused now, and then he was before. He was glad he heard the irate stomping of mate coming down the hall. Finally, he thought I should get all the answers I need.
He was a bit put out when Inuyasha did not even bother to spare him a second look and marched right into the play room to scoop young Shippo up to stare into his eyes.
“What happened to my hair?” He demanded, Sesshomaru finally noticed that Inuyasha was in fact bald.
“We needed the softest fur we could find for the pups,” Shippo stammered.
“Pups, what pups and why MY hair?” Inuyasha demanded.
“Rin and I were playing and we needed 101 dolly-mations, dolly-mations have the softest fur that’s why Cruella wants to steals them to make a coat.” Shippo explained like his adopted father should have known this.
“We needed the softest prettiest hair to be fur so we borrowed yours, we made three dolly-mations we only need ninety eight more.” Rin pleaded their case.
“Inuyasha Be nice they are but children and you will have your hair back before you know it” Sesshomaru tried to clam the tension before it escalated further.
“You are just saying that because they did not want your old hair,” Inuyasha said as he walked mumbling about the evils of Kagome reading bedtime tails.
He left Sesshomaru wondering why they did not want his silver locks as well. .
