So, since I've been listening to the CBC-Iqaluit, I wanted to know what the term for 'War' was in Inuktitut, so I could tell when they're talking about the war with Iraq. So, what's the best "teach yourself" book for Inuktitut? Are the books from Nunavut Arctic College still available? Do they come with tapes? I found some books at the UT library (see my journal a week ago), but none are good learning material, really, just reference.

Hey all you Inuktitut-loving Livejournalmiut, I have a garmmar question. (BTW, I don't have my book yet, so I'm just guessing.)

I'm listening to CBC-Iqaluit, and during the weather (or what I'm guessing is the weather), they keep on saying words with the endings '-mik' and -'miut'. Like " twentymik, fortymiut." From the context, it seems like it' ( Read more... )
