But it worked out in the end, so yes, I'm happy. Though, today I left my house at 7:40 am and got back around 15 hours later. Tomorrow I don't have to canvass, so at least I can have a normal 9-5 twice a week.
Though, I'm hoping if I do my job well enough for long enough, they'll offer to raise me to the salary my "Co-Director" (I gave him the look when he called me "Assistant Director" today. He never made that mistake again). I'd like to move to DC to make it easier, but currently can't afford it. I'm stuck in my cricket-infested apartment in Virginia for now.
Since I'm not eligible for fundraising bonuses anymore, I actually took a pay cut to get on salary. Its only about $100 per paycheck, but still.

yes DC is prohibitively expensive.
