Oh. Wow. I should probably take a few more minutes to digest this, but I FUCKING LOVED IT. Seriously. You got their voices down, and I am insanely jealous of your dialogue, because WOW. This was everything that it should be, bickering and loving and freaking out and I LOVED the structure. And I loved how much they loved each other without saying it. GOD. YES.

I think my favorite line was this:
The waitress-- Dana-- gets a huge grin on her face, the kind you see on people who are inordinately proud of their home and would share it with the world if they could. Kowalski recognizes the grin from Fraser, stranded with him in the ass-end of a snow field. Vecchio recognizes it from Kowalski, speeding down Lake Shore Drive at one in the morning with the GTO's windows wide open.Because I love that image, and it is just a PERFECT description of how they feel, even if Kowalski loves the North and Fraser loves Chicago in their own ways ( ... )

Great! I really like the Vecchio/Kowlaski interactions, I think they are very in-charcter and believable. I really enjoyed reading this, good job.

Great story! Whew! I really appreciate the research work you put into it, but that's just the icing on the cake of the dialog and interaction between the Rays. Bravo!

oh, my holy god, do I have love for this fic. a million kinds of love. my god, these BOYS! on a ROADTRIP. in CANADA! and fucked up and loving each other and snarking and YES.

you got me here:

"Just wanna be sure. Next fill-up spot isn't for... it says 365 kilometers. What's that in actual distance?"

"About 232 miles."

Vecchio gives Kowalski a blank stare. "You spent way too long up here."

"Probably."

because, wow. Wow. Way to sum up what's fucked up about them, what they BOTH know is an issue, and just - I LOVE that.

and also when Vecchio stands behind Ray, hands on his shoulders, watching the stars, but THIS:

the kind you see on people who are inordinately proud of their home and would share it with the world if they could. Kowalski recognizes the grin from Fraser, stranded with him in the ass-end of a snow field. Vecchio recognizes it from Kowalski, speeding down Lake Shore Drive at one in the morning with the GTO's windows wide open.that's what made me flail with sheer love. Because I love that, I fucking LOVE that, that's ( ... )
