Specific Search-Sess/Inu; Marriage Proposal

I have been driving myself crazy trying to hunt this fic down and thought I would try and turn to the experts. Does anyone recall the fic where Sesshoumaru sends some type of marriage proposal/contract to Inuyasha and Inuyasha knows what it is immediately from the color of the cord/string it is tied with? Sesshoumaru and Inuyasha end up exchanging

I have been searching for that fic too. I think it is written by agni but she took the story off her account.

I believe you are looking for Uta No Hoshi: Song of the Stars. It's by The Sunsinger. You can find it on FanFiction. She also wrote My Favorite Fairy Tale.

It's unfortunately not Ulta No Hoshi:Song of the Stars. Thank you for trying to help though. The story I remember is more slow paced and is about how they became mates through a more formal and ritualistic process.
