Roughly five and a half hours, give or take on traffic going down I-35.

That's about the same as Houston...not bad. Perhaps next year, since SJ volunteer apps are closed. Gives me a good bit of time to build up finances too. :3

I read elsewhere about Amy Fraga's woes. I gleaned that she took the brunt of the blame on several e-mails which she herself raised problems about the convention in a professional manner, but others did not. And it made a certain person emotional and defensive, who then behaved rashly.
In one respect, the timing could not have been worse. Medically, she has enough to concern herself with now. But at least she is cut free from people who have no regard for her, and can not appreciate her merit.

If you ever make it to Otakon, I would be able to meet up with you in that city (I believe it is usually held in Washington, D.C.). You should take some time to explore the capital if you do visit. I have never attended an anime convention, but I have only heard good things about Otakon.

I am SO glad you're okay right now! Lately we've had some idiots on the road doing stupid stuff. It's like how the heck do they get the license to drive in the first place? You don't fracking paint your toe nails while driving or talk on the phone and put on your make up while going 65-70!

Oh man... A-kon's really gonna suck ass next year if they don't get their act together. Really, they're going to have to do something spectacular next year to make me pay or get a press pass and give the con positive coverage. I'm glad everything I said about A-kon now isn't totally in vain. Like you said: Fuck yo con, nyugga! Fuck yo con! (jumping up and down on the pre-reg table)
