As I said, I wanted to share more creative stuff on this journal, and so far I have been pretty pathetic about doing so. So here are some older sketches I decided for whatever reason to share today on facebook.
I keep intending to finish this picture, but I just never do. It's starting to get a touch old and all I'm seeing now are the drawing mistakes.
Eons ago (back in 2011) I got a wild hair up me bum with the idea of doing the entire cast of the comic
Legend of Bill/ as they would appear in my own fantasy world. But Gypsy was starting to piss me off, and rather than dump the design and redraw her, I got owly and gave up. Going from left to right we have Bill's Gnome syndicate stalker, Frank on Bill's shoulder, Bill, Vasheeva, Gina, and finally Gypsy.
Gnome would be a halfling, and since my halflings don't grow facial hair, thar be some dwarf in his bloodlines. I see I didn't actually finish him, my halflings all have four digits on their hands, rather than five.
Frank would be a drake, as there aren't any real dragons left in my world. He also wouldn't be able to speak. He's just a very adorable, fire breathing pet. He's also from the southwestern portion of the country where its nice and warm.
Bill would hail from the northeastern portion of the country. There aren't any barbarians, at least that would be natives of the country in question, so I had to come up with a costume that was more country bumpkin or at the very least small town guardsman. Just how he came to be the proud owner of a drake is a mystery, most likely even unto himself.
Vasheeva would become a half-elf of High Elven heritage, and probably a bit of a snob. Mages and magic users are not well regarded, so if she has a talent in magic, she's keeping it under her hat.
Gina, since she can't be a princess in my fantasy world, is a minor noble who's run off seeking adventure in an otherwise dull life.
Gypsy is a gypsy--I know, I'm so original. She'd be an outcast, preserved to be a thief or a hedge witch.
And there you have it. One of these days I may even get around to scanning something resent and actually FINISH it! Wahoo!
