Thanks for the review! Yes, indeed, all shall be explained. Kurt's voice is deep for a reason; that will be explained in the chapter I hope to have up sometime this evening (no guarantees, though).

About Karofsky: there's a lot of Rapist!Karofsky fics out there, and while I don't mind the trope, that isn't where I was going with him. He's never been sinister, per se; intimidating, sure, but really, I think he's just a jack-ass. I was originally going to write that Karofsky did get them away, but he was only going to beat him up on camera and post it on the web or something, and then Mike would kick the shit out of him. In the end, though, I was running a little late and I felt that was really unecessary.

And I'm glad you don't feel the drama is too heavy-handed. I find sometimes I write like everyone's in a soap opera, so I'm happy to hear you think otherwise.

Oh, sorry. Well, MJ got his start singing with his brothers as a kid. So when puberty came along, he freaked out about his voice changing and practiced until he could sing and speak high all the time. His family and friends heard him talk in his natural voice a few times and it was very deep.
