The lulu copy seems a bit more sharp in color as compared to the B&N copy. The obvious difference is the back. Now i may be asking a dumb question, but is there a downloadable file of the cover?
I was going to say that that's just because I'm a crappy photographer, but now that I look at them very closely, you're right - the Lulu cover is a little sharper, where the B&N copy turned some of the shadowy areas more indistinct. So, another point for Lulu.
As I said, I adjusted the colors a bit before ordering a new print run - we'll see how they turn out.
The cover file was reserved for a few individuals who helped me with proofreading, and my beta-readers.
how can book 2 be this long?!? it felt maybe like HP book 3 while reading it! Maybe reducing the line spacing and the margins top&bottom a tiny bit could make a big difference? But yes, this won't solve the problem of the next books haha...
On a different note: Do you ever take recommendations for your book reviews? Because I noticed you never reviewed Naomi Novik. I haven't read the Temeraire series, but I was going to recommend Uprooted. I really liked it!

Not really. I will occasionally be intrigued by a recommendation, but my TBR pile is already very large.
I did try to read the first Temaraire book a few years ago, and found it boring. I might give her another shot someday.
