Ants are fascinating. Observing them in the yard was one of my childhood pastimes. Regretfully, I didn't take a stance of non-interference. My interference was rather extreme, sometimes. Sorry, ants.

I'm sorry about your ants. I'd considered getting one of those gel ant farms for the kids and now I won't. Our yard is like a giant ant farm anyway, we have swarms in the spring looking for their nest, and we caught a glimpse of the queen last year. They are a lot of fun to watch, especially when they're trying to make off with Cheetos.
