Hi, my name is Maria and I'm a friend of Jimmy's from Illinois. I don't know if you remember me floating about when Jimmy had an LJ. I saw you at the wake and funeral but I didn't get a chance to talk to you.
I'm glad I wasn't the only person offended by the service. Kelly was never really extreme about the religious stuff so I'm assuming she just let her family take over, which I suppose one can't blame her for right now, but it certainly wasn't of much comfort.
I don't know if it's really appropriate to ask this right now, but I can't see this getting any less painful any time soon so I suppose I might as well. I haven't talked to Jimmy since the end of last year, so I was just wondering what he was interested in right now - what movies, music, what he liked to do in his free time, that sort of thing.
Well, I just wanted to say hello and I hope you're as okay as it's possible to be. This is all just so awful and I really don't know what else to say.
yes, we were all seething inwardly (and a bit outwardly). I believe we are going to hold our own service for him, done the way we want with the people who knew him and no silly preaching.
James' spare time was spent mostly with us, and working at the theatre because we're all friends there, too. He loved Disney as always, and James Taylor, and Phil Collins, and Journey, and of course Dragonforce. I'm not sure about his favorite movies but somewhat recently, he loved The Prestige. V for Vendetta, too, of course. His precise interests, I could not say. He was obsessed with Yvonne to an unhealthy degree and was spending most, if not all, of his money on her.
If you're more curious than outlines, you could contact Tyler. James very rarely spoke about in-depth personal business when he was with us, and really only came out about that sort of thing when he was in a one-on-one conversation.
Life isn't fair, unfortunately. That's just how it goes.
