I'd say you're probably cool with a hammer, as long as you go ahead and let them peacebond it if they really want to. (Nekocon's gotten anal about peacebonding so I'm assuming it's a spreading trend because they're super-lax about most things. They peacebound my craft foam Sword of Gryffindor....)

Have fun! I still don't know if I'm going to make it up for the con or not but I know my Homestuck buddies are going to be manning the artists' alley in all manner of PARTY so it should be great. Give them Gushers and they'll love you forever hahaha ♥

Does Otakon do peacebonding? I don't recall it, but I know Anime Detour peacebonds, I am down with somebody peacebonding my hammer. XD if I can get a hammer made of foam I may just opt for that. XD;

Sweet! I do love artist alley. There are also like fifty million homestuck cosplay photoshoots scheduled, by which I mean 3, it is going to be crazyyyyyyy. 8D

I'm trying to remember if they do! I haven't taken a costume with a legitimate prop/weapon to Otakon in years so I'm not sure, haha.

I hope they manage to get away from their art tables long enough to do some photoshootin'! My cousin's working on a pretty boss Redglare costume, so~

They'll probably tie something on it to say that it been inspected :) At least that's what they do for the more intricate staves & things like that, that I know of.

Actually a lot of academics have done good solid research and are also us! You just have to find the right academics. And for a popular magazine piece, 'tweren't too bad.

OT but at the Anime Blues Con there are a bunch of people dressed up in really awesome Homestuck cosplay and yesterday they were doing carameldansen
