Sometimes... I don't know. There is a swelling of emotion in areas that there once was very little, and on the same note, I have watched my own fires die out ( Read more... )

what is it about time that
dries beauty, dries love, dries words
letting everything loose, light
unattached like sand in the water?

I don't think it's so much time that dries such things up, as it is our own unwillingness to water them with care and regularity.

agreed but the willing is not enough
the difficulty in time-struggling is in knowing how

Skellington...

I've always thought it to be different. I always thought it easier to love someone than to fall in love with them. Maybe this flaw in philosophy encompasses the entirety of my less than ideal existence. I love you, but I'm not in love with you, for what that's worth.

I was going to make some rambling, less-than-helpful reply chocked full of worthless philosophy and advice, but I'm really the last person in the world to be giving anyone advice.

Just keep on cranking out that literary crack for your adoring public.

Well, I've heard it both ways. It's easy to fall in love, but hard to love someone. I've also heard that you can love someone and not be in love with them, like our relationship.

I think the label you give it really doesn't matter. The point is that there are different types of affection.
