That's a good idea, but since it's a movie, the insanity effects would take place at the same point every time, which would limit your enjoyment to the first viewing. It also wouldn't make much sense on DVD :)
Nope. But if they were really inventive and nasty and willing to waste tons of money, they could make different prints of the film for different regions, or even send them out randomly. And with seamless branching on DVD, they could wreak all kinds of havoc with a bit of effort...
They did something similar with the movie Clue, which had one of three endings randomly sent to theaters. Via seemless branching, the DVD also lets you see one or all of the endings for the movie at random.
