i think it is nice. it is a bit rugged in some parts. "(including my mother's favorite black-eyed susans)" disrupts the flow a bit. being parenthetical, it makes it seem like a sporadic after thought rather than you pleasantly reminiscing. you may disregard the previous if you would like, for i am not a poet.
