The crew open house today was great. A bunch of people came, and most of them seemed genuinely interested in rowing. Plus, the girls and and guys ended up playing ultimate Frisbee together, and I was actually doing okay. A brief, childish rant: Just because Mr. Taylor (my photo teacher) behaves like a child, doesn't mean he has the right to treat me (on any of my class mates) like one. He allows certain girls in the lass to behave however they want (flirting a bt with some of them), but when I have a serious question he brushes me off. It's extremely frustrating

We have finally finished reading The Fountainhead in Lit and are now on to seminars. I have come to the conclusion that Rand really was, as McCann so aptly called her, a quasi-philosopher. The Great Gatsby is an excellent book, and one everyone should take the time to become acquainted with. It explores the differences between dream and self-dillusion, what we want people to be and what they are. And nearly every line is absolute pure poetry.
