Watching BBC Live about the earthquake in Tokyo right now. 8.8 in magnitude with aftershocks up to 7.4 in magnitude, big tsunami struck the Sendai area and I don't even know what other parts. Tsunami warnings have been issued throughout the entire Pacific region

i have spent the past few hours trying to contact the people i know there.
only two have answered so far, i'm so worried!

37 confirmed dead now, and 45 missing
southern Japan (okinawa, etc.) seems pretty ok, with only tiny tsunami effects
At least I know my Japanese Sister's family's safe
but two of her cousins are in Nothern Japan and they've yet to hear any sing of life from them

It's so horrible! I tried to contact everyone there. In Tokyo everyone seems fine, but still haven't heard anything from my host family. My little boys. Hope they are fine. It's still shaking. Let's pray, that it stops soon. Can't think about Fukushima.So scary.
