It really bugs me when people base their opinion of MR on the first 20 minutes. I mean, I won't lie -- when I saw it in theatres for the first time, my friends and I were looking at each other like ?????????, but unlike a handful of people in the theatre who got up and left (which now makes me go ?????????), we stayed, and as you can surely understand, it was literally the best decision of my life. And of course on second viewing you understand the purpose of those first 20 minutes in comparison to the rest of the movie and it becomes clear that it's not just writing/acting/film gone wrong, it's intentional. So I really think MR is a movie you need to watch twice if by chance it didn't click for you the first time. I'm really glad this guy revised his opinion. ♥
