My day was going quite well until late afternoon!! I logged on to my bank account to check my account and transfer some money. I looked at the screen, and saw a couple of transactions I didn't recognise, closely followed by some more. I sat there thinking about throwing up, wondering what the hell had happened. Oh god, I've had this happen, with a credit card. Somehow they got a hold of our number, made a fake card with the real number on it and ran up $4800 in charges in 1 day, until a clerk (who I could absolutely HUG!) in a Target in Ohio got suspicious and called in to verify the card. That alerted the credit card company, who then alerted us. It IS a horrible, helpless feeling. Luckily the credit card company was on the ball and worked with us to get the charges removed fairly quickly but man, nails bitten to the bone until it was resolved.
