Plane Sexy AU A little white lie never hurt anyone.
Georgie is a lovely human being for putting up with my insecurities about my writing skills. Thank you, dearie.
Peter makes a small noise as he steps out of the cockpit, putting his arms into the air and stretching his long limbs so far out that his fingers are touching the top of the cabin. As he turns, a flash of red catches his eyes through the gap between the navy curtains, and his lips twitch upwards.
“Nellie! Nellie!” A soft childlike giggle overpowering the low humming of the plane’s engine. “Again! Please! Tell that story again!”
“Oh, I can’t,” Nellie pouts cutely and his smirk turns into a full blown smile. “I’ve already told it twice. You’re gonna get bored, Sadie.”
“Never! I promise!”
She shakes her head and the young girl looks at her with a look that can only be described as ‘sad puppy dog eyes’. She sighs, impossible to deny the sweet girl of anything. “I’ll tell you the story after you finish dinner. And you have to eat all the carrots.”
“But I nots a bunny!”
“Well, little girls need to eat their carrots too.”
With a loud and dramatic sigh that makes Nellie giggle, the girl reluctantly agrees. “You has to promise to tell me that story again.” She holds up her little pinky and looks at Nellie as seriously as she can.
“I promise.”
“Okay,” she gives her a toothy grin. “Who’s that?” Sadie points to where Peter is standing.
“Oh,” Nellie hadn’t notice him at all and feels her throat tighten at the sight of her dashing captain looking very perfect in his uniform. “That’s the captain. He’s the one flying the plane.”
“But he’s not flying now.” After a moment, Sadie’s eyes being to well up. “If he nots be flying now, is we gonna fall out of the sky? I doesn’t wanna die,” she sniffles. “I gots to go see Grandpa!”
“Oh, sweetheart, we’re not going to fall out of the sky,” Nellie lets the young girl bury her face in her neck. “He’s going to make sure you get to see Grandpa.”
“How?”
“Magic,” Peter answers easily, crouching down to meet Sadie’s eyes.
“Mummy says it’s not nice to lie,” she pouts.
“Oh, I’m not lying,” he grins. “I know magic.” He reaches behind Sadie’s ears and pulls out a small piece of chocolate shaped like a kitten and drops the candy into her little palms. The child forgets all about her fears and squeals excitedly. Nellie sighs happily watching her silly boyfriend interact with Sadie. As brash and loud as he may be, he’s really a big teddy bear who has such a special way with children. She was pleasantly surprised that he actually likes them and the big shocker is that they seem to like him too.
“Again!” Obliging, he reaches behind Nellie’s ears and pulls out a heart shaped chocolate wrapped in red foil and winks as he gives it to Nellie. She claps happily. “I likes magic!”
Her parents smile at their little princess’ excitement. “What should you say to the nice captain who just gave you candy?”
“Thank you,” she smiles shyly and goes to wrap her little arms around his neck. “I likes you,” she declares.
Peter laughs, returning the hug. “I like you too, princess,” he winks and Sadie blushes.
“Seems like you have a way with women of all ages, Captain,” Nellie comments casually as they make their way back to her station. “Sadie is completely smitten with you and all you did was give her candy.”
“What can I say?” he shrugs smugly. “I know my way around women.”
“So, tell me, how many women are there in your life?”
“One,” he leans in to kiss her deeply, his hands resting on swell of her hips. “One perfect woman.” She melts into the kiss as Peter presses her into the little counters at her station, his hand gently stroking her cheeks.
“Oh, come on!” A exasperated groan has them pulling apart. “Would it kill you to not make out on the plane just once?”
A lovely pink spreads across Nellie’s soft, freckly skin. She buries her face in his chest and he grins. “You’re just jealous, Donna,” he counters. “So what if I can’t keep my hands off my princess? She’s just so pretty.”
“Ugh,” Donna rolls her eyes. “You are disgusting. Get a room.”
“Good idea,” he smirks, tugging Nellie with him. “You can hold down the fort for a while right, Donna?”
