The scope of fic for the darkfest is amazing. This isn't 'horror' like some of the entries but instead focuses on the everyday violence Kurt has to endure and its consequences.
I love the idea of Kurt's security detail. I'm impressed with how you make the assault clear without needing to describe it, since it's not the focus of the story - rather the cycle of violence and fear is. I love Blaine comforting Kurt and recognising his own fears. I love the image of Kurt and Mercedes skipping down the hallway singing :D
The ending was spectacular, though I couldn't help feel it's exactly what Karofsky deserves. He could choose to stand with Kurt instead of against him - or just lay low - but prefers to live a lie of self-hatred that he acts on out by bullying others.
