I'm so sorry, J. I've never truly lost a parent, though I do have an idea since my father's no longer in my life.. But even then I could never compare.. and I can't say I know how you're feeling because I've never lost someone close to me to death. All I can say is to try and hold on to the good times with your dad, which I'm sure you will have no problem doing. You are so strong, so brave, and you are an AMAZING woman & parent yourself. I know that you will hold your head high regardless of all the pain you are feeling, even when you feel like losing it and breaking down. I've always respected you, I hope you know that. I wish there were words I could say or something I could do to make you feel okay, but I know it's impossible. Just wanted to let you know that I'm deeply sorry for your loss and I have faith that you will come through stronger than before.

i know that everyone is probably telling you how sorry they are, and how it doesn't really "help," but I just wanted to let you know that even tho we've had our differences, I will be thinking about you, & hoping you can get thru this.
