So...If pergatory does in fact exist, I suspect it will be a slightly out of focus version of Salt Lake City.
Everyone I encountered in Salt Lake was waiting to go someplace else...from the Mormon Missionaries in Temple Square, to the bums on 600 street, to the lost souls sitting quietly and empty in the SLC Greyhound station. Some waiting for

exactly, right...when I write to people "back east", they don't see at all where I'm coming from. I started reading a book that was referenced in Under the banner of heaven, "Feet of Clay." It's insanely (pardon the pun) fascinating...but mroe on that later.
