Listen up Discedo! We've got a guest. Seems our fighter jet dropped off a friend. He just happens to be here on business. [The video turns on for a brief moment and there's a view of Thomas. Chris and Raph are also visible though the communicator isn't focused on them. The video function turns back off.]His name's Thomas Knowlton and I'd appreciate ( Read more... )

What does he want.

To steal the one machine the scientists actually use to help us and leave us all to die apparently. He doesn't know where they are either. We'll see how things go.

He'd be more successful if he helped us.

You can try telling him that. I'm pretty sure he considers us all expendable. [Not too broken up here really.]

Be that as it may [he's worked with expendables before] 'mine enemy of mine enemy is mine friend'. He may not see us as useful but I bet more than one of us could surprise him.

You're assuming he's not our enemy too. [Just because he didn't shoot the guy doesn't mean he trusts him. Something's wrong here and he doesn't like it.] You'll see him about town, you can size him up for yourself then.

No. I was assuming you were keeping him around for a reason.

My next statement was thus: If not then he is expendable to us. I would not hesitate.

[ Basically walking along and listening in on all this, ho-hum. He seems mildly amused, at most; he doesn't seem bothered. ]

[Seifer has no problem discussing these things in front of you at all Thomas |Db He figures he'd be stupid to think he could hide it from you and pull one over on you anyways so fff.]

[ He expects no less. ]

[...] I wanna see what Holden does. [Clear. To the point. It's the only reason Seifer hasn't dragged Thomas off and tortured answers out of him by this point.]

Do you think he will do anything at all other than hide as he has all along? For such a "grand being" with all this "power" at his fingertips--he is such a coward, and pointless being.

If he had any way to react he would have done so by now. [He pauses, considers.] If not, then your 'friend' is already ruined and does not know it yet.

You forget we're not from Fortuna. If I were in Holden's place I wouldn't take us seriously either. Thomas is though and he ain't alone for all he's the only one here right now.

I don't think Holden can just kidnap him right off the street or wherever else like he does us. If he wants to do something to Thomas it might make opportunities for us.

And if he doesn't? We have another guy hanging around here mooching off us until his plane comes back to pick him up. We'll live.

You make it sound as if Holden is working alone as well. I'd hope he hasn't killed off all his allies. [Oh, he remembers you're thing with the other scientist if that is at all possible. No, really, I can't even remember if there was enough unfiltered to make it obvious or not.]

They may be on the same playing field but you forget that I am used to playing chess. You need to stop assuming things, boy. Stop reminding me of things I already know. It makes it so easy to tell you are not used to being the one in charge.

[Fff I don't remember, Seifer really got in the scientists' business after Grendel died so |D idk, I'd expect if Giovanni was paying attention he'd know Seifer was interested in them or whatever?]

Giovanni I'm not dealin' with your pride right now. You got somethin' helpful to contribute I'd love to hear it. Otherwise you asked me a question and I answered it.

I don't know much more than you. This it?

[He bristles at the word "pride" being used so casually; but maybe that's just his pride speaking. :|]

I gave it. Neither of you are interested, and I grow tired of the arrogance of a young boy still trying to prove himself.
