I think guys hate to be put on the spot, i'm not saying you should wait around forever but without being too obvious try and push him into making a decision, he'll be so proud of himself. Plus he'll think it was his idea, so he'll make a go of it so he's not proven wrong.......erm........that help?

yeah i really didn't want to hear anything negitive from him either and it all happened online so i couldn't like see him thinking about it or have his actual reactions so that was a bit more difficult.
