Ioan's now a father! It's a girl, named Ella Betsi, Born September 6th.

I'm kinda feeling sorry for Alice, though. She was in labor for 40 hours, which is just ridiculous.

Anyway, best of luck to the three of them, especially in the first few weeks.

I know. I bet she passed out shortly after getting to hold the baby, and I wouldn't blame her.

You'd think after a certain point the doctors would just tell her they were giving her a ceasarian section. I think after I passed the 24 hour mark I'd be BEGGING for one.

IKR? There's got to be added risk to both mom and baby if it takes super long right? I've watched the show A Baby Story a few times where they had to switch it up to a c-section after labor took too long.

that's wonderful! i'd been wondering when the baby was due since i heard the news.

and yes, i hope Alice gets better. now why the docs didn't just give her a C-section is just beyond me.

Apparently (though internet info is always dodgy) C-sections occur after 30 hours if the head hasn't crowned. So either it had crowned by that time, or there was some complication that put both Alice and the baby at risk if a c-section was performed.

true, it's plausible. in any case, i'm glad things turned out well. :D
