One part came from the following_sea Shifting Sands challenge, which basically said I could do whatever I wanted as long as it somehow related to the theme of shifting sands. I've had that name in mind ever since I started writing Horatio and Amelia as a couple. I'm just glad I found a place to use it.

It was too perfect to pass up, especially once I realized that "Through the Looking Glass" took place in 1875, which would allow it to fit in my "Windfalls" timeline. Glad you enjoyed it!
