I went out yesterday. I had missed going out. For once I wasn't tired and my belly didn't hurt from walking. I told the doctor I was getting cramps and she upped my magnesium supplements. This shit is magic! I'm feeling 10 times better!

We went out for dinner at Yiantes which is a restaurant in Exarchia. It has something of a pretentious rep but the ( Read more... )

Celeriac mash is awesome. I've only found it once or twice over here (also in Exarchia, but I'm not sure where exactly), but it's so nice. It's also great instead of cabbage in coleslaw.

When my mum was pregnant, she used to drink a Guinness every day. Apparently it has iron or something in it, which is great for a pregnant woman. This may have something to do with the fact that my grandmother is Irish and that stuff is like water with added vitamins to them. ;-)

Hahaha, and I'm stuck taking iron supplements! I never knew that about beer. Do you like Guinness now after having so much of it in utero?

And nom nom, I really need to work on finding a recipe for celeriac root and go over my fear to cook it. I will master it!

It's stout in particular, even the doctor said it was okay (as when she was pregnant with the triplets, the doctors were involved in pretty much everything). And yes, I still love Guinness. :-)

I think it's pretty each to do, just the same as making mashed potatoes.

I don't remember any blue light in Dr. Feelgood? Maybe because I don't go more than maybe twice a year anymore. Or I've just never noticed it since I tend to stick to dark clothes most of the times. :P

If you had been there with inappropriately coloured clothes as often as I have you definitely would have noticed. But people are very accepting there and I didn't get weird looks no matter how self-conscious I was feeling.
