Yes, I've done it. I've deleted a complete, rather well written chapter of my latest Goldeneye fic out of sheer accident. It took me over 2 days to write and now I have to write it again. Isn't it just wonderfull when you have reached chapter 6 only to realise chapter 4 is gone?

Arrrrrhh noo! Isn't there a backup or something? And - which fic? Want to read! :-)

there was a backup...but it did not help. in my folly I stored the new file on the backup as well. Brilliant, eh? Now all I have is the rough sketch I did month ago on a sheet of paper.

The fic in question is "Desert Heat", currently on ff.net. Will move it to forengland soon.

And yay Desert fic! I actually read the beginning some time ago on one of my rare expeditions to ff.n - howling hyenas and tormented agents. I'm all for it. Will read as soon as possible.
