I found it too! I won't say what it is here so others can try too, but I know EXACTLY what you mean - feel free to e me if you want to see whether I got it, but I'm positive I did. :D

The icon is from a painting by Sulamith Wulfing called "Underground," I have no idea why. It would make a lovely Elanor, wouldn't it?

I agree, I think Howe has aged Frodo appropriately and well here. But what's with the really skinny legs? I know Frodo lost a lot of weight on that trip (:p) but at that point he wasn't quite *that* much of a wraith ( ... )

Yes, the sword he had at Weathertop "flickered red, as if it was a firebrand."

Apparently John Howe did this painting for the box of a LotR RPG, so it may depict a sort of alternate universe anyway.

All quibbles aside, I do think it's a great painting. :)
