We vote by mail, and I kissed the ballots before taking them straight to the downtown PO.

Well, no one can say that we didn't try!

Hey, if kissing the ballot doesn't work, I don't know what will.

It's like 80 hours of really good therapy condensed into a single stroke of the pen.

Well done. I hear the turn out is very good. We've got the BBC New channel on.

There was a line at our polling place, which NEVER happens. We're often the only people there. So that was good. My presidential vote doesn't really count for much here in California, since we always go Democratic as a state, but we still need people to turn out to vote against Proposition 8, the state initiative that takes away the Constitutional right of gay people to marry here.

Sarah Palin is on telly right now saying she hopes to wake up tomorrow as Vice President Elect. Well, she can hope.

I hope Proposition 8 gets voted out.

More likely she'll wake up and be Vice President Reject. ahahaha.

Ugh, don't I know it. Probably the main reason I am pleased to vote for Obama is to end my sense of personal humiliation whenever I travel overseas or talk to someone from another country. I always feel like should fall to my knees and beg forgiveness.

That's a cool picture to have to look back on!

I tried to get the kids to pose with me, but they were having none of it! Well, they'll remember, I'm sure, which side of history their parents were on.
