I had called Geoff to see if he could pick up The Spawn from religious school at 6:00 so I wouldn't have to feel rushed. ( Read more... )

I am so glad that everything was not that serious in the long run.

Lucky * 1000, indeed.

Thank you! Geoff drives so much for his work, I'm always worried one day his number will be up, but both times he has been in a serious accident, it's been within 5 miles of home.

Again proving the invalid adage that most accidents occur within (n) miles of home, because most of your life you are (n) miles from home. *g*

Reminds me of the old joke about the man who heard that most accidents happen within a mile of home... so he moved. ;-)

Goodness! I saw your status on Facebook so came here for more info - what a scary accident. I'm so glad everyone is ok, including baby. Big hugs from us here in France (well Mummy is out picking Polly up at the station but I am sure she will be sending her love too when she gets back and reads about it!).

So nice to have you back on LJ! Thanks for dropping in. I've been following along your 72 hour journey and glad you made it safe and sound. Lovely that you'll all be together for the holidays! Big hugs all the way around.

I was just commenting above that Geoff drives so many miles for work, but both the serious accidents he's had were within 5 miles of home. It's always when you least expect it...

Yup, dodged another one. I'll tell you what, none of us is going to get out of this life alive, that's for sure.
