CM: Oct 2006: Perfect World prompt
If I could create a perfect world, I wouldn't. Okay, sure, maybe sometimes I wish all of the warlords and bad guys would just disappear or take up farming. And wouldn't it be great if there were monsters to fight but no one ever really got hurt doing it? But when you come right down to it, my idea of a perfect world wouldn't be the same as yours or anyone else's. It would be my perfect world.
I know what you're thinking. If it was my world to create, I could make everyone agree with whatever I said and did, right? That would make me a god, wouldn't it? God of my own perfect little world, with my own perfect little people, created to satisfy my every whim.
Forget it. I've been on the other end of that 'perfect world'. I've seen what the gods can do when they get bored and try to change things -- usually at the expense of mortal lives.
I'll take things just the way they are, thanks. The world may not be a perfect place to be, but I'm doing my best to make it just a little bit better, one bad guy at a time.
