TV show land

How the hell has it been about six weeks since I last updated this?

So, my Internet has been fucky for the last three weeks so I'm woefully behind on all my TV watching. However, there are some shows that I'm fully up to date with.

So, the kidnapping show was, for me, mostly not good. So, Alexis was calm and stuff (I mean, obviously, she's Alexis) but that was a really crappy reason for putting her in peril.

However, it was great seeing Nathan Fillion going dark again. The bit where he was explaining to the driver how he was Alexis's father and would do anything to get her back, was so good for me. As was Kate going badass on the girlfriend.

James Brolin as Castle's dad makes perfect sense. But, God, did he have to be a spy. I burst out laughing many times when I really shouldn't have because it was so ridiculous.

Also, did anyone else notice how no-one seems to have at least told Alexis's mum that her daughter had been kidnapped?

And why didn't anyone think that it could have anything to do with Castle? Because he has money, too. Lots of it. So, why did no-one at least look at the possibility that Alexis was the target?

And they needed Alexis's friend so it would get international coverage? Really? The daughter of an international bestselling author being kidnapped isn't international headline news?

And why would the bad guys need the coverage? He's obviously been keeping tabs on his family so he'd find out, right? Plus, there must be a underground network where you can let people know that you've kidnapped their granddaughter.

And, after Halling/Todd/2nd Alistair, said that he'd never have taken the job if he'd known who Alexis really was, doesn't that suggest that in the international spy community, the secret is out? That anyone who Castle's dad has pissed off could come gunning for either Castle or Alexis?

I did like Ryan saying that he was distraught about Alexis being kidnapped and Lanie being all awesome. And Gates, I'm fairly certain, knows about Castle and Beckett but isn't saying anything.

Oh, but the fake Paris backdrops were PAINFUL. Especially since Molly Quinn was so obviously there. Why didn't they take Nathan over there as well?

This is show doesn't end with either Florrick, Agos & Associates or Florrick, Agos, Tasiconi & Associates I'm going to be kind of pissed.

Add in Kalinda as their investigator, and it would be perfect.

Cary would be in a heaven of awesome women.

God, I want fanfic of that.

So, my love for Rylan Givens just keeps growing. As does my love for Tim Gutterson. Also, Art keeps getting more awesome and his foot puns are unparalleled.

So, Shelby? he's either Drew Thompson or a very clever red herring, right?

Also, Tim isn't going to be too happy when he finds out his friend was killed, is he? I really want him and Rylan going around looking for answers. And maybe Rylan being the voice of reason. Because that would be hilarious.

Timothy Olyphant is a bloody awesome actor. But everything he did when he heard about Arlo being stabbed and then when he told everyone Arlo had died and the look on his face when his dad's last words to him were 'kiss my ass' (or something similar. I was too busy paying attention to Rylan's face). God, but I just want someone to give him a BIG hug because he really needs one. Plus, the way he kept glancing at Tim when Art was telling him to go home after hearing that Arlo had died. Well, yes.

I spent last of epiosde saying 'oh, honey, that's a bad idea' because nearly everyone is making bad decisions.

I don't want there to be a rift between Spartacus and Crixus. I'll so totally cry.

And I don't want bad things to happen between Agron and Nasir. They are wonderful together and nothing bad better happen to them. That's all I can say.

And Marcus Crassus is cold. So cold.

Julius Caesar is damn good as sowing descent in the ranks, isn't he?

For a moment I was genuinely worried that Naevia had killed Gannicus.

As much as I want to know how this show ends, I really don't want it to end.

Elementary - Everything about this show is amazing. The growing and developing relationship between Sherlock and Joan is awesome and gives me all the feels. I adore Bell and Gregson. Everything this shoe does makes me happy.

My favourite episode by far is the one where Felicity found out. The flashback was awesome (although I'm liking all flashbacks that have Manu Bennett in them) and Felicity and Diggle worrying over Oliver together and looking after him was adorable.

And then Diggle teaching her self defence. And really everything with Felicity and Diggle being awesome together. I love them so much.

So, Tommy now knows about Oliver and, at least a little bit, about his dad. So, where the hell is that going to go?

Plus, Sarah is alive (although I loved the comment about Laurel not knowing why her dad bought Sarah a canary - real subtle guys and I don't even really know DC canon at all). So, really, everyone in this show is alive, right? Who we thought was dead. Apart from Ollie's dad because we saw him shoot himself in the head. But everyone else is fair game, yeah?

Also, I love how last week there was a BSG reunion (Gaius and Tory) and this week there was a Dr Who reunion (River Song and Captain Jack).

I really liked Colton Haynes' Roy Harper and can't wait to see more of him.

This show is kind of insane and I love it. Everything is so twisty turny and all that stuff with Malcolm and Moria and what's going to happen. Well, shit.

I just want it to hurry up and be the next episode.

I am going to be catching up on SPN this weekend and Nikita next weekend.

And at some point I'll get to Suits, Revenge, Scandal and Dallas.

I've given up on The Big Bang Theory. I just can't be bothered to dl it any more. This season has been pretty lame and what they are doing with and to Amy and Sheldon is making me really uncomfortable.

I'm this close to giving up on NCIS as well. As soon as Ziva and Tony get together, I'm through but I'm determined to fight it out until then. Having said that, I've missed some episodes and have made no effort to go back and find them. NCIS:LA is still crazy enough that I really don't care that it makes little to no sense plot wise.

Also, I've read a book

5) Ever After - Kim Harrison - I continue to love this series and this one was awesome. Al! Trent! Ivy! Rachel! Cerasi! Jenks! Quen! I'll stop now.

But mostly, I've been sorting out Girl!Stiles, which just passed 10,000 hits on AO3 and kind of perplexes me.

Stiles never thought being part of a werewolf Pack would end up being so normal. Even being around Derek had a degree of normality about it. Even if he was still an overbearing jerk most of the time.
