Do you guys get the monarch migrations there? I've always loved milkweed - kept it in my pockets when walking in the fall, sent some to Xn in his box of leaves last year..

Fitting, since papillon is French for "butterfly."

I love seeing your Nebraska as it is in the summer, by the way. Gorgeous stuff.

Our Highschool football team was the Monarchs -- though they used the more kingly interpretation, as I don't think they wanted a bunch of butterflies on their helmets. Which I thought would be cooler, but I also like wearing pink. SO.

The storms here, in the late spring/early summer, late summer/early autumn are pretty amazing. I've never seen anything really like them -- it's a tornado alley thing, I imagine. I'm working on a series of photos wherein I'm trying to capture some of the feel of that, which is getting mixed amounts of success. When i've got twenty or thirty really good shots, I think I'll try to get in at a couple local galleries who are friendly to unknown artists.
