I'm getting scared of politics these days... the world is full of anger. If it ever was the case that there was a thoughtful discussion of policy, a scientific (or even dialectic) inquiry into what would bring the greatest happiness for people, then that's certainly not happening right now.
However.
Slavery, Fascism, and Communism are still out there. For slavery, think southeast Asia (and Europe, even! Read the news!), consider sweatshop laborers and effective serfs all across the world. For communism, think Cuba, think China, North Vietnam, North Korea... and for fascism, think any military-heavy anti-intellectual regime across the world. Any number of Latin American countries? Israel? The US in a few decades, mayhap? War has not solved these problems, in that these problems have not been solved.
Those other two images barely deserve comment. Straight-up flamebait.
Yes, I am curious how anything could end a school of thought/philosophy (ie: communism, facism, or nazism(?)), but I thought they were somewhat amusing, as long as you don't tke them seriously
( ... )
oh yes, also "Help, Im surrounded by America Hating Idiots"... is it just me, or is that grammatically flawed on account of the Im (should be a contraction of I am), and the America Hating (sounds to be in the wrong tence)
Finally! There's so much political crap on my friends list these days, even from people who were never political before. So far this post is the only one that's actually entertained me.
And yes, grammatically flawed. I noticed that as well.
