Being locked out of a Facebook account while you prove your identity with the documents you used years ago is very annoying.

LJ is far better...but it doesn't help when everything social has moved to FB.

How did you get into that spot?

They are on the warpath against anyone they think may not be using their "Legal" name and are paying employees to search through tagging and locking out anyone who they think has a fake name. They then link login to a request for ID. They don't put in a check if the user has already done this. Welsh name, mononym and several people on my friends list who have already been forced to change means it was almost inevitable in hindsight. Annoyed the hell out of me and its timing was vile for the on game I'm playing there: same one as Mim.
