hey maria! soooo ... it's been a while (how are you??) but I saw your post and can try to help anyway.

first ... if you want to send me the info about the actual article you're looking for, I can do my best to hook you up. being a grad student for a year, I am awesome at digging up files I'm not really supposed to have access to - also, Stanford may have access to BU.

second ... I have a good friend who is a current grad student at BU so if I can't find it, I have her pull it up for me and I can send the file along to you :-)

I know this is probably random, but I'm a big believer in research karma :-) always help out a friend in need!

Hi! I'm good (standard answer, yes I know). How are you? I read your LJ whenever you post so I'm more up to date on how you've been than you are on me. You have totally made me want to join a softball team, of course that's when I finally have a car and time (the latter of which my thesis does not allow).

Thank you so much for research karma, Salve subscribes to basically nothing. The dissertation I'm looking for is by Stephen Brighton from 2005 entitled "An historical archaeology of the Irish proletarian diaspora : the material manifestations of Irish identity in America, 1850-1910." I have no idea what the file size of it would be it's 361 pages long. I appreciate anything you can do for me. *hug* May the research karma gods smile down on you the next time you need them.

I am a big proponent of getting out and having fun at least once a week while you're working super hard. I have been working full time and doing my thesis and it was soooo good for me.

Anyway, I couldn't find it in any of the Anthro journals that Stanford subscribes to, but I hit up my friend at BU who is more than willing to help :-) So I told her to see what she can do and I'll let you know!

I definitely always try to go and have fun as often as I can. Sanity is needed for anything I do and that's what keeps me sane.

Thanks so much for looking for me, and tell your friend thank you as well.

:-)
