‘Dean? I think we should break up,’ Ginny said suddenly.
Dean turned around slowly to look at Ginny. This was not at all what he had expected when Ginny had suggested they slip into an unused classroom a few minutes before curfew.
‘Why?’
‘Because it’s what’s right.’
‘Is that your final decision then?’
Ginny nodded, pretending to be miserable. Really she just wanted it over with.
‘Why?’ Dean asked again.
Ginny sighed. She didn’t want it to have to come to this. ‘I’m in love with somebody else,’ she confessed.
‘Harry Potter,’ stated Dean.
Ginny didn’t bother to contradict him.
