had a mini-fight with my mum last night. i over-reacted, she didn't react at all, etc etc. went to bed pissed off and miserable.

woke up this morning to her chattering on about how she doesn't spend enough time with me, that she'll cancel her plans for tonight so we can have a bonding dinner. <3 and she'll go with me to target for dorm supplies! ( Read more... )

Uggghhhhh I have one that's like, upwards of $300. For biology! Which is just a gen-ed for me! This shit ain't logical!

oh my, that's ridiculous. All of mine together totaled to about 300 which isn't too bad. The most expensive is a math book that's 121 dollars. Is there a rental system at your college? Or I just found out about this site: http://www.chegg.com/ . which is pretty good for those super expensive books, I know my older brother uses that. You might want to check it out ~

The issue is that my college puts together packages for books that include things like online access to textbooks, etc etc. Those cost $300. They also don't tell us what the books actually are, so we can't search for them online. I'm just going to do what I usually do and wait until I get the syllabus from the professor, then buy the books. Thanks for your advice though!
