Reminders of those middle school days

I was super excited when kalliel told me that Evanescence was recording a new album. I absolutely loved this band when I first heard them, and I'm not ashamed to admit I still do! I'm (mostly) over those moody pre-teen days, but I still think Amy Lee's voice is hauntingly beautiful.

But then, I saw this article. I realize that Evanescence has been heading

in response to the WatF question, go ahead and check them out! they have some good music. I don't consider myself an unfaithful fan for checking out past member's new work.

When I read that article and saw she was talking about meshing the inorganic with the organic, I really took that to mean similar to the music they did before Fallen. In one of the many articles that have come out recently, she seemed to indicated returning to some older 'sounds' while doing them in a new way. I'm eagerly anticipating the new album to see if it is, or if she's missed the mark. I had more fears about The Open Door than this one.
