Not too long ago, in America-it happened other places, too, but let's keep it simple and to the point-the people commonly referred to as African Americans, negroes, etc., were denied their rights. They were lynched. They were abused. They were discriminated against. Back then, this kind of behavior was often tolerated, sometimes encouraged.
