These are so, so beautiful you guys <3 Don't even know where to start! I especiallly love the P&P and Emma ones (maybe cause those are my fav shows as well? or because they are a bit more colourful).
angelamaria; What I admire most about your style are your epic blending skills. Seriously, you can blend with just one cap such an amazing, complex icon together <3 And the way you work textures and text in the rest, i'm awed by it. I really love those three P&P icons where you blended Darcy and Elizabeth together; 1, 6 and 8. Beautiful! Your lightning is amazing as well. I'm also in love with 2 and 4 because 2; looks amazing with the silhouette and 4; awesome awesome textwork!! Other icons of yours I admire are 19 (again that epic blending with one picture and textures), 21 (what a beautiful close crop! Love the slight graininess as well, one of the best close crops I've seen for a long time), 23 (which is actually quite subtle but hilarious), 36 (whaah, those colours) and 40 (which looks amazingly put together once more). Wonderful

Eeeee, thank you so much for your lovely comments! I thought I got tooooo blending-happy for this set actually, haha. I'm so glad you liked them and I'm so sorry you guys didn't get to finish yours. Everyone's busy nowadays! :s
Aw this comment ♥ I'm super thrilled you like #42. When I made it, I both loved and kind of side-eyed it all at once, but everything you mentioned is why I like it so yay! And thank you for everything else, I'm super sad you didn't manage to complete the icons, I bet they would have been gorgeous!
I'm so sorry elleaf and schryosel weren't able to join the battle! The more BBC costume drama icons there is, the better! \o/ That said, thank you so much elleaf for hosting and posting the battle. *hugs*
raiindust, your soft pastel colors are amazing as always! I especially love 2, 5, 6 and 26--the solid vibrang and soft colors you have there are beyond beautiful. And 48 in particular--I just love the composition you have here, the rose and the black and white coloring, it's absolutely perfect and fits the mood and the characters so much. ♥
I think your set is such an incredible showcase of everything you can do in spectacular form. The compositions are particularly amazing, I think #19 is particularly indicative of how well you can work with a variety of aspects to create a beautiful icon. The crops of #21 and #34 are also absolutely stunning - I think #34 has this wonderfully classic feel that is absolutely gorgeous. And the bold texture use in #35 and #39 is just amazing, especially the colours that you've added (#35) and the muted tones you've developed (#39). Utterly gorgeous stuff!
Thank you! I'm happy you mentioned 35 and 39, I am so on the fence about them precisely because of the texture use. I don't know if I would do it the same way if I did it now, but I was happy with them when I finished haha.
This is such a beautiful post. <3 I'm sad I couldn't complete mine in time but I'll definitely be posting the ones I did finish to my comm soon.
angelamaria: I love the way you've tackled your icons - the blending is so nicely and seamlessly done and the colours and light are all so soft and glowy. Favourites are 2, 3, 5, 24, 33 and 40.
raiindust: Just how do you do your soft, pastel icons? They're all so lovely and fit in with the subject of period drama so well. I particularly love 4, 5, 25 and 48 (this one is really stunning!).
Thank youuu~ I think I got a bit blending-happy with this set, haha. I'm glad you think they're well done, as I admire YOU so much for your blending and compositional skills ♥
