I'm slowly getting over my het-squickiness! I feel like I'm growing as a person as a result- that is, getting over some issue somehow. Because I know it's more than a preference, it's definitely an issue for me. Or issues, many.
It helped to finally find cool, sexy, strong female characters catch my interest (Aeryn in Farscape being one of the first). Then start not being limited to them being "kick-ass". I still have a very certain taste in my women and I can't picture all of them having sex but it's slowly coming along.
But even then I have to fade to black or have a lot of slash on the side because I get so bored! D: I want not to be bored, I want to be able to be as into it as I am slash. Because wow, that'd broaden my RP horizon!
Also, now I am rambling... I read your journal and I think of you far more than I actually talk to you. Just so you know. I consider you a super-close friend, even if I'm a crappy one... u.u
I was in town today and wanted to contact you guys but omg headache of doom. Fucking wind.
*nods* I know what you mean. I suppose I might be able to RP non-smut het and maybe read it, but I'm just not in the place where I'm interested enough yet. I'm thinking the same as you, it'd open SO many doors!
And don't worry, I don't need you to comment all the time or anything to know we're still good friends. ^^ I mean we've got so many years behind us, we don't need to be in contact all the time.
And aye I hate this wind. So much hate! You can barely keep a window open here in Nesið.
Ugh I remember! At least we have some shelter here in the flat house, but that doesn't stop me from doing my part as a barometer! D: My headache's faded now though, finally. Juuust in time for bed.

Now see, if only there were more guys watching my journal, I'd have a flood of regular visitors! Seven will do that to people. *nods* Many women too, I'm sure. She's like Angelina Jolie: About 80% of humanity would hit that! And yay for not being boring!
