I understand the grief you're going thru. No matter how sensible it is to say it's best they're not in the state they were in...it's horribly devastating when they are really gone. Everything I see everywhere I go reminds me of my dad and makes me start crying all over again. I've heard that it gets easier as time goes by...I'm definitely not there yet and you're probably not either. If you need a crying buddy...I've definitely got alot more tears.

Passing loved ones anonymous April 11 2007, 16:58:02 UTC
I am Scott from the PT message board...

2 1/2 years ago I lost both my parents to a car accident. They both in their 70's but in very good health, so their passing was sudden and earthshattering. I haven't fully recovered to this day but know I am getting more 'healed' as time passes. It has been hard since my dad was my best friend and mom was my life mentor. I have since had to learn to mother and father myself, something that comes very hard to me.

I want you to know that I am totally sympathetic to what you are going through. Remember even small steps are steps in the right direction.

with much peace, warmth and light,
Scott

I know how you are feeling,I went through this about 5 years ago with my own grandfather, but we didn't get 6 months to say our goodbyes and prepare (more like 3 weeks).

I hope you know how lucky you are to have been so loved, and how lucky he was to have been loved by you, your mom, and grandma.

Don't worry about the functioning part, it will come. But until then just know that there are people around you who care.

*HUGS*
