Last one for the evening...that alarm will be ringing in 4 1/2 hours, and I will not want to wake up.
Can anyone tell what page 30 says? I tried playing around with it in Photoshop and it didn't work :(
Or 31 for that matter. I got about the first paragraph and a half. I know that Vernon said that they decided not to go. That's all I really got of it. I don't know what he's referring to though.
On Page 32:
"Are you out of your mind?" demanded Harry, "A plot to get this house? Are you actually as stupid as you look?"
For some reason, this line made me snort.
"Just in case you've forgotten," said Harry, "I've already got a house my Godfather left me."
Where was it mentioned that Sirius gave Harry the house? I think I vaguely remember it, but I'm not sure.
Page 33:
"You've got to go into hiding and The Order wants to help. You're being offered serious protection, the best there is."
Well, that explains pages 30 and 31 then I'm assuming. The Order wants the Dursley's to go into hiding to protect them for when Harry comes of age. Gotcha.
The next door neighbor's lawn mower stalled again.
Wow...considering the length of the previous article that Harry read and the amount of time he's been talking with Vernon, that guy takes forever to mow his lawn.
"You heard what Mr. Weasley and Kingsley said," Harry replied, "We think the Ministry has been infiltrated."
When did Harry start using big words? I expect Hermione to say something like that, but not Harry. I'm not saying he's not smart, it's just not his character...I'd think he'd say something more like "We think the Ministry has been taken over." or "We think the Ministry has been commandered by Jack Sparrow"
Page 34:
"All right," he said, stopping in front of Harry yet again. "All right, let's say, for the sake of argument, we accept this protector. I still don't see why we can't have that Kingsley bloke."
This seems out of character for Vernon - he'd say something more like "...I still dont see why we can't have that Kingsa-whatshisface." It doesn't seem like him to remember Kingsley's name.
Page 35:
"I hope so," said Harry. "because once I'm seventeen, all of them - Death Eaters, dementors, maybe even Inferi - which means dead bodies enchanted by a Dark wizard - will be able to find you and will certainly attack you..."
Why is it in this sentence that Harry explained to the Dursley's what Inferi are, but not Death Eaters - has this been explained to them previously?
Page 36:
"We're leaving soon, really soon." Harry told her. [referring to Hedwig]
Is it just me, or do the characters in this book like to shop in the department of redundancy department? He could've just said "We're leaving really soon." and it would've gotten the same point across.
Page 37:
"...- we shall be driving, say, ten miles, or so before Disapparating to the safe location we have picked out for you."
Okay, so if I'm getting this right, non-magical people can take part in magic as long as someone who is magical is doing it? Did that make sense at all?
Pages 37-40ish:
Dudley worrying about where Harry is going...
This is very very very very VERY out of character for Dudley. Am I the only one that sees this? ... a few paragraph's later. Never mind...it explains it, but saving his life or not, it seems OOC.
